Unofficial Election Results
   Persons appearing to register should determine in what voting district they reside prior to registration. MONDAY, April 19, 2010, is the last day electors may register, change addresses or party affiliation to be eligible to vote in the PRIMARY to be held on TUESDAY, May 18, 2010.

The three Wayne County Commissioners constitute the County Board of Elections. The Bureau of Elections Office has two full-time employees.

To register to vote you must:
  • Be a citizen of the United States for at least one month before the next election
  • Be a resident of Pennsylvania and your election district for at least 30 days before the next election
  • Be eighteen (18) years of age on the day of the next election
Where to Register

In Person
At the Bureau of Elections Office located on the third floor of the Court House Annex in the Wayne County Court House, 925 Court Street, Honesdale Pennsylvania.

By Mail
Mail In Forms are available by calling the Wayne County Bureau of Elections Office and various State Agencies.

When you renew, change address, change name or apply for a driver’s license.

Absentee Voting:

Any qualified registered elector who will be absent from their Municipality or unable to vote due to an illness or physical disability is entitled to vote by absentee ballot. To obtain an absentee ballot application, call the Wayne County Bureau of Elections or send a request for a ballot containing the following information:
  1. Name
  2. Wayne County Address of residence
  3. Address where to mail ballot
  4. Date of Birth
  5. Reason for request
  6. Signature of person requesting ballot

First day to circulate and file nomination petitions February 16
Last day to circulate and file nomination petitions March 9
First day to circulate and file nomination papers March 10
Last day for withdrawal by candidates who filed nomination petitions March 24
Last day to REGISTER to vote before the Primary April 19
**Last day to apply for civilian Absentee ballot** May 11
Last day for County Elections Boards to receive voted Absentee ballots May 14
PRIMARY May 18
First day to REGISTER to vote after Primary May 19
Last day for County Board of Elections to receive voted military and overseas absentee ballots (must be postmarked no later than May 17) May 25
Last day to circulate and file nomination papers August 2
Last day for withdrawal by candidates nominated by nomination papers August 9
Last day for withdrawal by candidates nominated at the primary August 9
Last day to REGISTER before the NOVEMBER election October 4
Last day to apply for a civilian absentee ballot October 26
Last day for County Elections Boards to receive voted civilian absentee ballots October 29
GENERAL ELECTION November 2
First day to REGISTER to vote after November election November 3
Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted military and overseas absentee ballots (must be postmarked no later than November 1) November 9
