It is the primary mission of
this Agency to enhance the lives of senior citizens without depleting the resources of
others; to empower seniors without disenfranchising other residents, other age groups and
members of our community, and to foster independence and choice as we age.
Our
vision for the future includes the participation of the entire community in Agency goals
and programs. Our focus will be centered on the continuation and increase of
Public/Private Partnerships and intergenerational programming to meet the challenge of
present and future needs of the community in general and the senior population. As an
Agency and staff we remain committed to concentrating resources on the frail, rural
elderly, advocating for seniors while recognizing the needs of the community as a whole,
encouraging seniors to actively participate in their own life choices, and expanding the
target population to young seniors, their interests, needs and preventative programs.
For the future, we intend to expand services to new and uncharted
areas with the assistance and expertise of the community at large and with continued
emphasis on quality of programs.
