Information & Referral County-Wide System
Wayne County's long-awaited Information and Referral Program is now a reality! Now residents can call WINFO Line at 253-5986 or 866-253-5986 (for those out of the local calling area) for any human service referrals. This free, confidential line is available for assistance Monday - Friday from 9:00am-4:00pm. Email information requests can be sent to iandr@co.wayne.pa.us. The Information and Referral Program is also available online at http://winfo.co.wayne.pa.us.
Since 1998, the Wayne County Human Services Agency has worked on the development of a computer program capable of storing and retrieving information about services provided by the many agencies utilized by Wayne County residents. WINFO Line is designed to classify information concerning services, eligibility, access, etc., so it may be quickly retrieved by topic in response to a caller's question on what human services are available. To date, over 700 agencies with thousands of services have been entered into this system.
